Today marks the 7th anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq. 3 years since I started the project. Make a block, make some knots - do something to remember.

This will be the place to learn about the progress, and find out how you can help with the, "and still counting" quilt project. We are making one block for every American Soldier who has died in the Iraq war. 212 knots/beads/stitches are added to each block to represent the Iraqis who have perished. (See "the beginnings" post below)

I'm so proud of you Carn.
Also, I've got some completed blocks to bring to the MCQ meeting on Monday. If you aren't there, they will get to you another way.
I just learned of your project today. I'm speechless. What a beautiful idea.
Many of my projects begin the same way this one did for you. Like having a bad song stuck on my mind, I get a quilt art idea in my head and it absolutely will not go away. I've just started to blog about my quilts, many of them expressing my liberal political views. Have a peek if you have a minute: quilttasters.blogspot.com
Keep up the good work. I hope and pray that your project doesn't have to continue to grow.
Hi! If you have some more of the prepared blocks, I'll do some more for you! Can you send me 10? -Stephanie
